I have been able to reproduce this twice on brand new installation with two different firefox account.
When you first start firefox (firefox had never been run on that machine), you're asked to create a firefox account or to log in.
So I log in.
After a while, sync has completed. However, there are no bookmarks set up.
Worse, it appears that the bookmarks list has been cleared and sync on my iphone that followed removed the bookmark. Though I can't confirm that and it's just a hunch.
On another brand new PC, I set up firefox with a sync account as well, this time using another firefox account, and same deal, the bookmarks weren't synced.
This is using Nightly, last version

Hey jya, can you please check your desktop devices to see whether about:sync-log has any logs? If not, then follow the instructions at https://wiki.mozilla.org/CloudServices/Sync/File_a_desktop_bug to ensure "success" logs are also recorded and try to reproduce. Then attach any logs here and we should be able to get some insight into what's going wrong.

Well. Yesterday I had to set up a new machine, and all worked fine this time.
So I checked the other machines, and all the bookmarks were there once again.
Will reopen if it occurs again.
