The release notes (for 0.9.9) do not cover PostScript printing under Linux. At the very least I would like to see a mention of the MOZILLA_POSTSCRIPT_PRINTER_LIST environment variable, described in bug 123270. I'm not sure what else would be worthwhile to document; Roland can likely offer some input in this area.

CCing Sujay: Sujay can you confirm whether Bug 123270 is an appropriate workaround to the PostScript printing under Linux problem noted above? If so, can you add a description of this bug and workaround to the Mozilla 1.0 release notes tracking bug: Bug 133795
Roland/Don, can one of you comment on whether this is the appropriate workaround? thanks.

I think the reporter just wants the part of the discussion in bug 123270 put into the release notes. I am not familiar with Linux enviornment variables.. so it would be inappropriate for me to document this variable. But someone who is can just mention this variable and that it holds a list of printers that will be used to get the printers a user can select in the printer dialog box and where the default printer goes in this list. I think Roland is the man who needs to write this release note.

Taking per dcone's request. Should the release notes be written in HTML or ASCII ?

Roland, simply look at the format in bug 133795 and make your addition..basically add the bug number, the problem and the workaround. look at how others have done it in that bug...

Looks fine. I think the printing prefs for the "edge gap" should be mentioned. What they are and how to set them.

Can I paste the current information to the 1.0 release notes tracker bug and add
the missing entry later, please ?

The www.mozilla.org site no longer hosts documentation. If there is still a need for this it should be added to MDC. Moving to Mozilla Developer Center product for discussion.
