The user should be able to specify the default text zoom, in percent, that the
browser uses on open. (This feature is used right now by View->Text Zoom)

This is an issue I've had with every OS I've run netscape or mozilla on.

My monitors are large and my screen resolution is very high, so basic
assumptions of small monitors tends to make the default selection too small to
read comfortably. Setting the default font size works so long as you stay to
the 1% or so sites that don't set it for you. Not allowing the page to change
the fonts you want also works so long as you don't want any variation in your fonts.

The common solution would be to change the screen resolution, but when you deal
with large images constantly this is not practical. This would be a simple
thing to fix, it seems to me, and it would really enhance the browser's
functionality.
This has been discussed before and will not be done.... What _will_ be done is a
persistent full page zoom (and there is now UI for a minimal font size).
WONTFIX then as per Boris.

bz: I don't think Text Zoom will become persistent. See bug 65571 comment 3.
