Details

As described in a recent LWN article about password managers [1], "the issue [with Firefox] is that browsers are generally always open, so the vault is always unlocked".

So I suggest to add a timeout setting, s.t. Firefox forgets the master password after some time.

I found the extension "Master Password Reset" [2], but unfortunately it is marked as using "legacy technology" [3].

(I have filed a separate corresponding bug for desktop Firefox: [4])

Ah, the mentioned extension is off-topic, because it does not provide a timeout.

Since there is no about:config pref to set such a timeout for Android Firefox (or is there?), I think this is not a duplicate of bug 266778.
