User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/52.0 Build ID: 20170316213829 Steps to reproduce: Excellent reliable version running. Updated. Now computer locks and crashes. Bar pops up window running causing problems. I click stop and I've clicked report. Actual results: 6 times in a day entire OS crash If no crash system becomes unusable. nop response. How can I go back in versions? Right now just typing there is a huge delay from keyboard to text on screen. Expected results: If I can't go back when is an update coming? How can I completely BLOCK the endless pop up to upgrde Mozilla firefox. If I get this fixed in next update I want th eability to NEVER upgrade. If this isn't going to happen I guess its time ot switch to Chrome. This **** me off crashing 6 times in one day. I shutdown Firefox and kill associated apps in Task manager and my system operates normal.
I shut down Windows antimalware in task manager and it seems to make a real difference. So what changed in this version of Firefox that terrorizes windos OS malware. As soon as OS auto turns malware blocker back on crash city and unbelievable delays in keyboard and mouse input
Now it keeps changing my browser to French
Hi Darwin, To attempt to solve your initial report in Comment 0, have you tried refreshing your Firefox profile? It might be an add-on or something else slowing down your performance. Hamburger icon menu in the top-right of browser, navigate to the "(?)" symbol, Troubleshooting Information, and then Refresh Firefox. That might solve any issues you are having. For Comment 3, it's possible you downloaded the French language build, try looking for EN-US, or EN-GB builds for English langugage. Please let us know if those suggested fixes work for you. Thanks!

I went back one version of Firefox and my problem is gone. I will stay where I am working for now. Thanks I didn't write down the version number because I thought I would be going back numerous iterations until I had some kind of success. But I am very stable right now. I don't want to create problems.

OH MY GOD Thunderbird just updated from 45.8.0 to 52 now my system is **** DEAD Nothing I click on in TBird works I can't go back and download an older version it is dead IN **** I now have NO EMAIL AT ALL I need version 45.8.0 somewhere to download from. TBird won't let me go back Firefox is working since I loaded an older version. Where can I get 45.8.0? I'm desperate
Hi Darwin, If it's an issue with Thunderbird specifically, that might be best for a separate bug report. If it's Firefox related, try and instructions previously mentioned in Comment 2 or Comment 4. Thanks!
I can't get into Thunderbird to file a bug report. It is 100% DEAD I try to go to Thunderbird through Firefox NO ACCESS I can't bring up the website for TB Can't get to a webpage with old versions like I did with Firefox. I tried 40 things I'M DEAD What email program can I load to eliminate TB and migrate my critical history? I'm beyond desperate at this time. I need to reload older version. Only thin TB does is receive messages.
I'm confused. How are you writing a bug report here? You would write a bug report on Bugzilla like you are doing now, and set the product as Thunderbird.
I discovered Adobe Flash Player keeps locking up Firefox. It does something and if you wait long enough it pops a screen up end script or continue or one other option I can't remember. Second it crashes and says end or report crash. I bring up task manager and kill adobe over and over and sometimes it helps clear the issue. Or I close firefox and restart. It is random when it locks up. Locks for 10 or 20 minutes then the issue goes away
Try updating your Adobe Flash and see if that solves the issue. If it doesn't, then it might be best to file that as a separate bug report.
Closing bug due to lack of response. If you are still having issues, please follow-up to the information requested in Comment 11.
