User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/55.0 Build ID: 20170325163002 Steps to reproduce: Open new profile of Firefox. Ensure you're logged into Youtube account. Visit Reddit and find a youtube clip and attempt to play a clip within Reddit. At the 20sec mark, it gives a license Error. Also tested youtube clip on; https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/Debugger It occurs on this video also. After 20sec I get a license error. Actual results: License error occurs only if you're in logged in, occurs with all embedded youtube clips. (Am a subscriber to Youtube Red/Google Music, if that matters?) Expected results: No license error should show. Note, playing file directly on the Youtube site there is no issues. See attachment video of the issue. I couldn't see any obvious regressions. Not sure if its a compatibility with Firefox/Youtube and google.
Summary: Embedded Youtube broken → Embedded Youtube giving License errors after 20secs
Seems to affect Chrome also, hmm not sure about this.
I can't reproduce with FF55 on Win 7. One tab with YT open and logged in. A 2nd tab with embedded video.
Component: Untriaged → Audio/Video: Playback
Product: Firefox → Core
This now works, was possibly a server-side issue.
