[Actual result]: The page is reloaded and in the input box is displayed the value selected at step 4. [Note]: This is not reproducible if the page is reloaded using Ctrl+Shift+R.

I think this is the expected behavior for Firefox. We tend to preserve all user-visible form state as much as possible.
