moving this bug from bugscape:

- start Netscape 6.2.1+/Mach V (2002-03-28-10)
- open the URL:
  http://195.244.107.231/swf/index_main.html
- wait till intro is loaded and click on "Skip" (in the lower right corner)

***Result:
MotorCity doesn't load completely. It hangs at 63%.

***Expected:
MotorCity should be loaded completely
It stays briefly at 63 but then it continues and finishes loading.
(linux trunk 2002040302)
WFM on build id 2002040210 on Win XP Pro
Stays at 63 for a few seconds and then continues to load
WFM with 0402 trunk build on w2k. flash loads just fine
confirming with win2k (german) build 20020404 and flash V5.0 r41 and also Flash
6.0 r2.

It stops at 63% and i can't see a network transfer on my modem.
(I wait ~4min and tried it 2x)
I see "transfering data from IP..." in the status bar
The same plugin works with IE5.01

(ask if you need any logs (i have a debug an opt build)
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Ever confirmed: true
Works fine on win98 using the build from 20020404.
Could this have to do with network connectivity?
It may, but I tested this from home and not from the office.
I tested it over ISDN, DSL and LAN. And it is still hanging at 63%...
(tested with 2002040403)

I saw the URL has changed:
http://195.244.107.231/swf/index_main2.html

could you retest it with this URL?

Oliver, can you display this page in your browser window, and then capture that
informaiton and attach it to this bug, or just email that page to me?

http://home.netscape.com/plugins/manager.html

We have been unable to get the same results as you, so if we can review the
plug-ins data, that would help significantly.
yes, now I could reproduce this. Didn't do much , just tried this again and
again. Once I saw this the first time, it just repeats now, I cannot go beyond
63% at all now, the movie just does not load. Once I saw this error in console "
unable to create socket". cinforming this bug. My plugins folder has the
following list:

java 1.3.1_02-b02
u/shrir/linuxbuild/0404trunk/plugins/java2/i386/plugins/ns600/libjavaplugins_pji
.so

Flash 5.0r45

/u/shrir/.mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so

Flash 5.0r47

/u/shrir/linuxbuilds/0404trunk/plugins/libflashplayer.so

Default plugin

/u/shrir/linuxbuilds/0404trunk/plugins/libnullplugin.so
after clicking the "?" on top right, as beppe mentioned, get this following
error:

"Hilfedatei nichi giladen"

we need some germans here to interpret this ! :)

biese told me it's "help file not loaded"
I could reproduce it first time I tried on WinXP with today's debug build. Next
time it loaded fine. It became reproducable again after I cleaned browser cache
and it is now reproducable every time. Before it stops at 63% it hit an
assertion with the following stack trace:

hmm, no crash for me, w2k 20020401 debug build.
it looks like scripting flash problem, bug 110441
javascript console shows:
Error: mainObj.SetVariable is not a function
Source File: http://195.244.107.231/swf/index_main2.html
Line: 62
Just to make it clear, I do not crash, this is only nsDebug::Assertion stop.
yeah, correction - no assert for me.
It stops at 63% and i see no assertion (but i can see the JS warnings)
