I was having this problem with Mozilla 0.9.8, as well. My current version of
Mozilla, 0.9.9 is that which is distributed via the RedCarpet installer for
Ximian Gnome. This is a RedHat 7.2 system.
The problem is that if I click File -> Print, and attempt to print a web page, I
get the error "40 EIO 2 BAD TRANSMISSION" on the LCD panel of my HP LaserJet
4000. Similarly, if I print the page to a file such as mozilla.ps, I can view
the PostScript file perfectly fine in Ghostview, however printing that file to
the printer with lpr causes the same problem. I have tried printing both in
color and greyscale and had no luck with either.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click File -> Print
2. Choose greyscale or color output
3. See error on printer
Actual Results: 40 EIO 2 BAD TRANSMISSION error appeared on the HP LaserJet
4000 LCD panel
Expected Results: Printed the web page

google gave me this page:
http://forums.itrc.hp.com/cm/QuestionAnswer/1,,0x514a1aca6930d611abd50090277a778c,00.html
this doesn't seem to be a mozilla problem ...

Given the last comment and the fact that printing with lpr shows the same
problem, should be marked INVALID.
