To reproduce: (I'll attach a simple test case) 1. Select two items. Notice the alert pops up. 2. Click on the first item, notice the alert doesn't pop up. 3. Click on that items again, notice the alert pops up.

Cannot reproduce with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050908 Firefox/1.4. Probably was fixed by bug 267627 fixing.
