Following on bug 1351486, we should completely remove special type considerations from plugins.

bsmedberg, if you want to expand this bug to include more of the <applet> neutering you were talking about, feel free to throw more requirements in the comments here. I'm still not super familiar with <applet> so I'm not sure what all needs to go, but I'm happy to do the chopping.

I believe that <applet> is inherently Java-only. So I expect we could short-circuit everything about it and make it an empty element, and even perhaps not make it nsObjectLoadingContent.

I'm gonna have to do this cleanup for bug 1279218 (applet tag removal) anyways, and I'd like all of that to land at once, so I'm going to dup this bug against that and do the nsObjectLoadingContent cleanup work there, so everything can land as part of the same bug.
