Address autocomplete does not work at all


Expected results:

When I start typing an address in the to: box for example, the email address should autocomplete
Does problem reproduce if you have started Thunderbird in safe mode?

Had same problem, solved after I disabled addon "Faster autocompletion of e-mail addresses"

Absolutely impossible, must be an add-on problem as confirmed in comment #2. Thanks for reporting!
We do test the software before shipping it.

I'm not aware of any such addon mentioned in comment 2, and can't find it.  The reporter's issue is more likely the very popular MoreFunctionsForAddressBook addon (and it wouldn't be the first time), such mentioned at http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=3029041 

We could do reporters the courtesy of awaiting a response, because it is not impossible for there to be a problem. Improbable, yes, but not impossible

Funny, can not find this addon in thunderbird market :-(
in TB it says:

I found xpi on my disk as well:
  address-autocomplete@softmaker.com.xpi
and also two associated 
  enhanced-ui@softmaker.com.xpi
  theme@softmaker.com.xpi

It is likely that this addon was downloaded manually in may 2016 from this url (not active anymore)

Indeed, the problem for me was fixed by disabling MoreFunctionsForAddressBook ... thanks for the help, people!

For me, the problem was not [add-on:MoreFunctionsForAddressBook] but, [add-on:Display Contact Photo 1.3.1].
