1353744 - Incorrect font size while opening a new window on an external screen

This can only be reproduced on an external normal-dpi screen plugged into a hidpi macbook.

Sometimes it doesn't reproduce when opening the first new window; if so keeping Command+n pressed to open several windows in a row reproduces more consistently.

I'm making this block photon-performance because this visibly flickers and affects perceived performance of opening a window on Mac.

There are several existing bugs that most likely cover this. Unfortunately, this glitchy behavior hasn't bubbled to the top of the list of platform bugs yet. Some of the bugs I'm thinking of are:

P2 bugs: bug 962528, bug 1239347, bug 1234356
P3 bugs: bug 1156339, bug 1205372, bug 1005972

Since these bugs are P2 and P3, they will be tackled after P1 bugs. Some of the P1 bugs are rather complex and time-consuming. Platform bugs are tracked here: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Platform/Integration#Widget:Cocoa

This is very annoying and I would love to see this fixed, but it probably affects only few users.
