Information about the study: https://docs.google.com/a/mozilla.com/document/d/1u2AIjPwJdiU7dAz8vmefEObAZUnXMarfwbjnpzVjhXs/edit?usp=sharing#bookmark=id.a5ns1rtrka3 Data collection: https://github.com/raymak/page-reload/wiki/Data-Collection Schema of the collected custom pings: https://github.com/raymak/page-reload/blob/master/schemas/schema.json We use custom instrumentation coupled with the environment data coming through Telemetry: - We collect hostnames of the reloaded pages as we hypothesize a significant relationship between why users reload a page and the hostname of the page, e.g. it is likely that users reload Facebook often to see updated content. - We keep track of whether or not pages that are reloaded have HTML5 video or flash objects, because of the probable correlation between page breakage and video The study will run for 7 days. Firefox Strategy and Insights is the owner of the analysis. The analysis plan is to use the collected data to build a model of the relationship between the reload frequency/reload method/page attributes and assess the predictive power of this model. There is no third-party data collection in this study.
