Add documentation to indicate the licenses for LLVM binaries that include in the packages
In bug 1333003, :glandium raised this: (In reply to Mike Hommey [:glandium] from comment #120) > Comment on attachment 8851440 [details] > Bug 1333003 part 8 - Include ASan runtime dll and LLVM symbolizer in jsshell > package. > > One thought I just had: you should check with e.g. gerv whether this > requires distributing some file in the jsshell zip to indicate the licenses > for those things (likely including, in fact, the license of the js shell > itself)... And :gerv answered: (In reply to Gervase Markham [:gerv] from comment #122) > If you are adding stuff to the tree which is under its own license, you > should certainly add documentation to indicate what that license is. If it's > a binary blob, you should say where to find the source code. So probably we need to add some documents in the packages, which includes the installer.
(In reply to Ting-Yu Chou [:ting] from comment #0) > So probably we need to add some documents in the packages, which includes > the installer. Only for ASAN builds. But there's also the issue that jsshell.zip doesn't have a license file, independently of ASAN (for the gecko code it includes). In fact, come to think of it, this is probably also true of most build artifacts (test harnesses, etc.)
This is an issue with packaging of jsshell and does not involve the installer.
