you can't reply or open a new compose window - I suspect the builds don't have
the latest editor checkins, and I can't imagine why. But tinderbox was broken,
and my build was broken.

Comment 8

the editor changes are in (at least) linux nightlies. :-(

Comment 9

I took another build 2002040406 I still don't see the problem on windows, I will
try a linux build when I get in tomorrow.

Comment 10

i can verify that this bug is in this morning's
linux build. i'm surprised that it passed twalker's
smoketest. yumi says she's respinning linux.

David, did you see this on linux or windows. Is/was this a linux only bug.

Comment 12

esther: This was a bug on all platforms, but it seems like cmanske's changes
only made it to the Linux nightly build (-- the Linux nightly was using the
later changes than the other platforms).

Hakan is right, this was all platforms - for me, it was broken on windows. I
don't know why any build pulled after 8AM this morning would work.

Comment 14

Tracy's smoketests didn't catch this since he was testing the early 4:30am
builds. He verified this fixed in today's respin:

Comment 15

verified based on Tracy's verification. I didn't get the builds that had the
problem.

It's a little scary that people are verifying builds pulled before the 8AM tree
closing - is that a one time accidental thing or the common practice?

I now see that the 3-pane window does not display newly selected messages after
replying to a message. New message compose does not cause this problem. Not
sure if the fix for this caused the problem or not. I saw this with build
2002-04-04-10 trunk on linux. I will look to see if another bug was logged.

Comment 18

no, this fix couldn't possibly have anything to do with that. What's the bug,
exactly? Reply to a message, then you can't display any other messages? In that
same folder, or in any folder?

Comment 19

I read a bunch of messages, one at a time of course, then I select a message to
reply to and reply. The message is sent. I try to view other messages in that
folder by selecting them and the message pane doesn't change from the view of
the message I replied too. I changed to anther folder, select a message now the
message pane is blank. This did not happen when I composed a new message, but
did happen when I did a forward. I'll log a new bug. Windows doesn't have this
problem

I logged a new bug 135744, but after more investigation it doesn't happen on
another profile with only 1 mail account. I need to investigate more. This is
still verified as fixed.
