Steps to reproduce:
1. Prefs → Mail & Newsgroups → Composition → Default composition format: Paragraph (Enter key creates new paragraph)
2. Email account pref → Composition & Addressing: uncheck Compose messages in HTML format
3. Open new message window
4. In the content area type any text, e.g. line 1
5. Press the enter key twice (to start a new paragraph with a blank line between)
6. Type any text, e.g. line 2
7. Send
8. View the message in the Sent folder
Actual results:
The blank line between the 2 paragraphs was removed.
Expected results:
The blank line was retained. Shouldn't blank lines in plain text mail always be retained?
When the Enter Key pref behavior is set to New Line, blank lines in the composition window are retained in the sent mail, but it seems to me the setting really should be irrelevant for plain text composition.
This behavior began with the April 5 trunk build. April 4 behaves as expected, with all blank lines retained regardless of the Enter Key behavior pref.

REPRODUCIBLE until unzipped installer of official en-US SeaMonkey 2.52a1 (NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/55.0 Build 20170406002917 (Default Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit

NO LONGER reproducible with unzipped installer of unofficial (by FRG) en-US SeaMonkey 2.52a1 (NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/55.0 Build 20170424132653 (Default Classic Theme) on German WIN7 64bit.
I don't know which fix for which Bug terminated this issue, so WFM for now.
