Browse http://www.weblink.ch
Actual results:
Nothing (page doesn't load, white page)
Expected results:
page load. Page loads fine with other browsers and other FF versions

No, I tested with ESR 45.8.0 Release on macOS (10.9, 10.11.6) and Linux (CentOS 6.8) from three different networks (no provider issue). Opening http://www.weblink.ch with Firefox 52.0.2 ESR works fine again. But FF 45.x ESR is the default browser on CentOS 6.x used @Home and @Work. It seems to be a bug in FF 45.8.0 ESR anyway.

It's a bug and will probably not be fixed if it's not reported. It worked with ESR 45.x I had installed before 45.8.0. ESR 52.x is not an option, as ESR 45.x is the standard browser e.g. in RHEL/CentOS 6.x.
ESR 52 is in qualify cycle until its release in June 2017, and as the bug appears to be already fixed, I don't think Mozilla will spend some time to backport a bugfix in ESR 45 for only one website.
