Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020312 The back button and the go menu don't work under certain conditions. Javascript is involved, also frames. To reproduce go to http://www.logic.univie.ac.at/~3.14/mozilla-bugs-frames/frameset-script.html and follow instructions. I am not able to reproduce this with: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:0.9.9+) Gecko/20020404 pi

what's the point of filing a bug report if it's not reproducible in a newer version of mozilla?

I filed the bug for Linux. I could not reproduce it in Windows. pi

If it works for you, what are you seeing? The top frame should not be cached (see http headers and meta-tags). Do you get those uncached pages back? pi

It's not reproducible with the steps you gave, but it is with different ones. Go to the URL. Shift+Reload. Click the link and now try to go back.

I don't get it. Now I cannot get my testcase to work. But your (Vadim's) additional step makes it work again. So let's keep this bug open. Now I can also confirm it for this night's windows version -> OS=All. pi

Still happening (no crash, just double open) in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.0.0+) Gecko/20020530. pi
is this a dupe of bug 134031?

Could be, I am not sure. If so we should dupe bug 134031 on this one. This bug is assigned and has a testcase. pi

Any chance the testcase could be moved to bugzilla?

Hi, I'm the reporter of bug 134031 and have some additional infos for _my_ posting. The URL doesn't work anymore. I don't know if I should post it here or by my duplicated bug? I'll take this one. The URL http://www.dpsg-wikinger.de/testDB/ doesn't work anymore. But you can take every page which doesn't change the URL if you click on a hyperlink. We will take the testcase. If you need an other page --> http://www.hr-xxl.de/ New Example: 1. Goto http://www.logic.univie.ac.at/~3.14/mozilla-bugs-frames/frameset-script.html 2. Click on "this link" 3. Press the Shift-button and click on "Reload" in the browser. 4. Now click again on "this link". 5. Then press the back-button and nothing will happen. If you go two steps back over the back-history, you can press the forward-button and nothing will happen. Bye PS: Next time I will post a testcase so my bug will not marked as duplicate ;-)

This problem with shift-reload has been fixed recently. (I think around 6/12/02) I can't reproduce it in recent builds.

Hello, "my" Bug is fixed. I tried it with 1.1b. In 1.1a I could reproduce it. However, we should mark the Bug as fixed. I could not reproduce the problem from the reporter too.
