This is a metabug, to track the metabugs which track code improvements that can be made with specific minSdkVersion upgrades.

Each Android API bump introduces new java and android APIs, and in some cases further features. Tracking these should help us make use of these improvements as soon as we perform any minSdkVersion bumps. (Some of these changes can result in APK size reductions, which is an immediate benefit to all users. Some changes result in cleaner or safer code, which helps developers.)
