Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_6) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.133 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: Browsing the web possibly encountered a page with a hidden audio add or pop-under of some kind. Can't figure out how to reproduce since I can't even identify the exact source of the problem other than it being Firefox. Actual results: Although there were no open windows or tabs indicating that audio was playing... audio was still heard playing in the background. Closing all windows and tabs one at a time did not stop sound playback, but termination of firefox did. Expected results: a) a tab/window with no visible UI shouldn't be able to happen. I should always be able to find all open tabs/windows. b) some way to list all tabs/windows that mozilla thinks are open (whether visible or not) and be able to close them through some alternate interface. An indication of which of these are playing media might also be helpful.
That User Agent string is incorrect since I'm reporting an issue I encountered on a different computer running windows 8.1.
Component: Untriaged → Tabbed Browser
Without steps to reproduce or other details I don't think there's anything we can do here.
