If I go direct to the ask the community page https://support.mozilla.org/t5/forums/postpage/category-id/Mozilla-EN/choose-node/true/interaction-style/forum At present I see no banner. Although a small banner is seen on some parts of the site. The page allows me to enter a subject title and enter body text. However it will not let me pick a board to post. A red error message is then displayed > Correct the highlighted error and try again > Please select a board to continue This is hardly a user friendly experience. It is not making it clear that posting questions is suspended. If I use the in product menu from Firefox desktop. Menu (3bar icon) ==> Help ((?)icon) ==> Firefox Help That lands at https://support.mozilla.org/t5/Firefox/ct-p/Firefox The page has no banner or notification about problems, but currently has no link to ask questions. Again not a good user experience.

We recently had a disabling slowness issue. Today we have stopped questions being posted and are about to temporarily rollback to Kitsune. See Bug 1324426 comment 42 We should have procedures and features in place that allow Site Admins to place a site wide banner up for such important announcements.
