iOS 6 simulator, 10.3, on master

Steps:
1. Long tap on a default top site
2. Once the context menu is shown, tap on Open in New Private Tab option

Expected:
2. A new private tab is open with the top site website open

Actual:
When tapping on New Private Tab option nothing happens. It appears the spinner for a little while in the status bar as if something is being done but if finishes without success

I can't seem to replicate this. 

A tab is suppose to open in the background. So you need to actually go to private mode to see your tab. 

There is a bug to add UI that allows someone to switch to a new tab as soon as you open a new tab in a BG. But it isnt added to the activity stream panel yet.

Oh you are right! sorry for the confusion. That UI is definitely needed!
