As part of tearing down the static cluster, we need to decom staticadm (IT puppet, network flows, etc). This has much odder puppet than the average web node, and that puppet is *very* ancient. Please work closely with the IT puppet staff when cleaning out the puppet. I am available to review patches as well.
Do not proceed until bug 1352550 is resolved, as staticadm is our only known working environment for the issue in that bug.

No point in spending time on this when the AWS migrations will end up with it going away anyways.
