bug 1317133 is #9 topcrash for Thunderird 52.0.1.
All crashes are startup, which makes this quite bad.

Priority Switcher 0.7, which has been out 10 days presumably fixes the crash. But users with lower versions are still crashing.

correction ... Applications, versions, and platforms affected: Thunderbird >=52.0

Does that cover beta versions?

And actually, since I'm new to this I'm open to recommendation of whether this should be a hard or soft block. Perhaps it should be a hard block because a newer version of the addon is available?
This is currently blocked on some issues with the Kinto tool: https://github.com/mozilla-services/amo-blocklist-ui/issues/129

As long as it's within the version range it doesn't matter the channel it's on.

Hard blocks are generally reserved for malicious add-ons. If a soft block isn't working for some reason, we can try changing to a hard block, but it should only be done when strictly necessary.
The block is now staged. Andreas, please review. I'll send you the details over email.
