Crash reports with the gaming_spy.dll module (apparently part of Avast) got more common since the start of the month. Curiously these crashes seem to happen more on pre-release channels of Firefox. We may want to try looking into blocklisting the dll...

no, i'm not able to reproduce the issue myself. so this was just an (unproven) attempt to address the issue in reaction to the spike of crashes starting on april 20, which now seem to be reclining again anyway...

If this is an important issue please ask pi-request for some QA assistance to see if QA can help reproduce this in a VM.

the crash volume went down from a 150 daily crashes on april 22nd to 0 in the meantime, so i guess avast figured out how to fix this. probably best to wontfix this from our side.
