Roland, this is a request to spin up a SUMO page on why videos cannot play in the background in some sites (in this case, YouTube). Some details are in Bug #1357412

:jcheng when do you need this sumo page? ASAP or will the release date for Firefox 54 for Android be sufficient

Hi Roland, 

yes actually asap. Since we are getting lots of bad review comments about firefox taking off a feature that used to work but it   is actually a change on the server side.  And it happens so that the change on the server side is near our 53 release date.

Hi Mozilla people,
I'm thinking... has YouTube started to abuse the Page Visibility API, maybe? If I'm right, this (and other abuses on other sites) can be bypassed by adding a simple about:config parameter to disable that API. Just my thoughts. Thanks you.

I'll move this bug to the "support.mozilla.org - Lithium" product since this article will need to be recreated when SUMO is  switched from Kitsune back to Lithium (bug 1360005).
