User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.81 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: Create an account for a Google G Suite account which uses google's imap and smtp servers but the email address is for our private company. Actual results: When creating the account, there is no way to use Google's O-Auth and instead the users have to jump through hoops to get it working. Expected results: We should have a Provider dropdown on the first screen which defaults to "Automatic" and will auto select the appropriate provider when the email address field is changed. The user can override the Automatic to a specific provider, eg. google in the case of G Suite. With a provider selected, the next screen of the wizard can attempt the O-Auth path or server settings that is applicable for that provider. This will greatly simplify account creation for Enterprise customers who use cloud mail services and increase security by reducing reliance on password based solutions like Application Specific Passwords. This usecase where the email address of the account does not match the provider occurs quite a lot for businesses and will be more common as users get off internally hosted email systems and into cloud based services.
What? What is 'provider' in this case?

> We should have a Provider dropdown on the first screen Absolutely not. The idea of the account creation dialog is that the user does not need to select the provider, but we devise it from the email address. There is no need for this either, because we automatically find out that you use G Suite and offer that automatically. This works fine, see bug 1354742 comment 4. If you want to manually configure, you can do so, the dialog does give you that option. You can also select Gmail (imap.gmail.com) and OAuth manually. WONTFIX
