User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/57.0.2987.133 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: i pasted a url for a network calender in the address field and selected the wrong format Actual results: the synchronisation doesn't work Expected results: the url should be parsed. the ending could be detected. (e.g. *.ics) there is no selection needed. that could be automated. that's a potential error source for users and is unnecessary.

Thanks for filing the separate bug and explaining, I now know what you mean. I suspect you used caldav but it was actually a webdav calendar? This should be covered by bug 306495, please let me know if you meant something different.
