I have a patch for the shared library name, and sixgill doesn't build without some persuasion (it's a little weird because it's all about gcc, and osx only has clang, but the xdb.so is buildable no problem on osx, and that's all that is necessary to process the .xdb files).

But I've only tried to get things going on my ancient 10.6 box, which is hopelessly obsolete. I need to get it working fully on a modern osx.
