User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:53.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/53.0 Build ID: 20170414022702 Steps to reproduce: I sign all my mails with Enigmail. Since TB-52.*, after pressing on "send"-button, the pass-input should open. it doesn't! Actual results: The message "sending email" stays indefinitely. Expected results: The "enter passphrase" window should open.
Please let me know, how I could help any further.
I'm sure many user with engimail on version 52 don't have problems. Do you have other addons installed that might be causing the problem?

Summary: Enigmail seems broken → "sending email" stays indefinitely with Enigmail
No new ones. Since TB 52 this started to happen. I have installed "lighting" with "provider for google calendar" since ages. And that's all.

Which version of Enigmail do you have exactly? Do you see any exception in the Error Console (menu Tools > Developer Tools > Error Console)?
Enigmail 1.9.6.1 (latest, I believe) At the moment I can't seem to reproduce the problem! I got one Enigmail-log around from yesterday, if you're interested. Though I'm not sure if it contains private information, aka if it's safe to publish. menu Tools > Developer Tools > Error Console yields no exceptions.
Chris, Are you still not able to reproduce? Are you now on 52.1.0?

Summary: "sending email" stays indefinitely with Enigmail → "sending email" stays indefinitely with Enigmail, and after pressing on "send"-button, the pass-input doesn't open.
I am on Thunderbird 52.1.0 now. Enigmail still is 1.9.6.1. I remember, that my GPG key was about to expire. So I prolonged it validity. I'm not quite sure, this has sth to do with this, but in the meantime, the problem seems to have solved itself. So thanks for your help and sorry for the noise! I'll report if it reappears. (Feel free to remove all of this.) Cheers chris
