User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:54.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/54.0 Build ID: 20170507074728 Steps to reproduce: Hi. I'm using Firefox Developer Edition and lately https://etcher.io/ crashes on me with this message "An unexpected error has occurred.". It displays the page for a second or two, so I am able to get things done if I'm quick. Attached is info about my installation.
Hi, I'm unable to reproduce this on the latest nightly (on windows 7, though). With the Aurora channel (on which Dev edition is based) being shut down, you would probably want to move to Nightly channel : https://hacks.mozilla.org/2017/04/simplifying-firefox-release-channels/ Can you try on the latest nightly and let us know if it's ok?

Hi Flore. I've downloaded Firefox Developer Edition from the Mozilla website. Since I can't control what Mozilla publishes on their website, I use what I download, be it on the Aurora Channel or not. I suspect it may have something to do with some of the extension I've installed. Haven't tried disabling them for this specific website before submitting the report. It worked fine about 2-3 weeks ago and suddenly stopped working, showing me the message mentioned earlier. This is the link I'm presented with from the DE website: https://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-aurora-latest-ssl&os=linux64&lang=en-US I'm not really a developer, but I really like the color theme. It suits my theme in Openbox :-) Are you thinking about the Nightly on the Beta channel or the Nightly from Aurora? I'm always using the latest version, downloaded every day.

If you're not a developer and only use the dev edition version because of the dark theme, you should stick to the new dev edition channel (which is beta). Nightly is a channel by itself. There is no such thing as Nightly on beta or Aurora. Nightly is updated daily, but is usually unstable and crashes more often. Beta is more stable.
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/55.0 I have tested this issue on Ubuntu 14.04 x64 with the latest Firefox release (53.0.2), Firefox Developer Edition(54.0a2-20170418074700) and the latest Nightly (55.0a1-20170509100208) and haven't managed to reproduce it. After navigating to the specified URL in the description, the webpage is successfully loaded and the browser doesn't crash after waiting several minutes. Can you please retest this using the latest Firefox release and the latest Nightly build (https://nightly.mozilla.org/) and report back the results? When doing this, please use a new clean Firefox profile, maybe even safe mode, to eliminate custom settings as a possible cause (https://goo.gl/AR5o9d). Thank you!

Hi Emil. Thanks for the heads up on the Safe Mode. https://ethcer.io/ opens fine without any addons enabled, which means it is one of them that's the cause. Report can be closed.
