To Adrian
>The user Agent reports WinNT .. but the OS is OS/2 ..
That's right. My workstation at work is a NT4 client. All the servers
and my home machine are OS/2.
I've never seen this on Win32 Mozilla, but I can reproduce it with OS/2
Mozilla after using it a while.

Can you please bring up your JAvascript console the next time this happens and
see if it is reporting any errors?
Thanks

Does it clear up if you close the browser and restart it?
We have no scenario to reproduce this, and according to the history folk, it is
the session history getting corrupt, not global history, and the session history
is not persistent across invocations.
I desperately need a recreate scenario for this.

I will check this.

No, restarting the browser doesn't solve it (I don't use -turbo)
Now I found out, when I click in the url field again and press enter again and
wait 5 to 10 secs, the site is loaded. Reboot solves the problem.
I can reproduce this every day after using Mozilla a while, don't know exactly
how long. 1h or more.

When you are typing in the URL before you press enter, does the URL dropdown
appear?
Can you bring up the Javasccript console after you press enter and report any
errors that are there?
| Reporter | ||
Comment 16•24 years ago
|
||
Dropdown does not appear.
Javascript Console:
Error: redeclaration of const hide
Source File: chrome://wallet/content/walletOverlay.js
Line: 1
Sometimes waiting about 5 or 10secs loads the page.
