Details
AWS recently added CloudWatch request and data transfer metrics for S3 buckets: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/s3-storage-management-update-analytics-object-tagging-inventory-and-metrics/
This seems quite nice and duplicates some of the custom analysis scripts I've been running. Let's enable the metrics.
Note that the metrics aren't free. However, at 13 metrics per bucket at a cost of I think $0.30 per metric per month, that comes to $16/mo. I think it is worth it.

Terraform doesn't yet support enabling these new metrics. So I've enabled them on the 4 moz-hg-bundles-* buckets manually via the web console. If they get disabled by Terraform, so be it. At this point, I'm just curious how useful they are.
