User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:53.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/53.0 Build ID: 20170418122848 Steps to reproduce: Went to upload a file to a forum, file is inside a hidden folder (ie; '.name'), as expected the folder will not be visible in the view and this is normal, HOWEVER, due to the poorly designed directory view above the list it's completely impossible to manually enter a directory to enter Expected results: You need to be able to edit the current directory manually, otherwise the dialogue is completely useless for many use cases, or is straight annoying to use due to having to enter folders one-at-a-time, which can also cause slowdowns and crashes in some situations...

Pretty sure this affects all platforms when GTK (often non-native) is used, windows will be different if the native GUI is used instead.

Indeed it is, GTK is absolutely horrendous...
