Created attachment 8867808 [details] Screen Shot 2017-05-15 at 1.03.28 PM.png User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.9; rv:53.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/53.0 Build ID: 20170504105526 Steps to reproduce: New message arrives. Actual results: A Macintosh pop-up notification appears claiming that I have 32769 new messages from person X, and 32768 more. Expected results: The notification should have just said one new message from person X. My Inbox doesn't have anywhere near that number of messages.
Usually it's 4294967295, see bug 589870. Aceman, have we seen 32769 before?
I've also seen it with 65536.
But 32769, 32768 and 65536 do not seem to me as overflow values (someinttype(-1)). Jorg, what do you think?
I just got a pop-up that said, "32770 new messages from X and 32769 mode", so I don't think this is the same bug.
Do you have the badge indicator enabled? If not, could you please enable it and see if it differs from the amount shown in the notification?
I haven't seen the problem in a long time. Maybe it was quietly fixed in a recent update?
Maybe. During a 2 months time-frame there are at least 1 Thu7nderbird update. Closing it as WORKSFORME. If it appears again, feel free to reopen it.
