User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.12; rv:54.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/54.0
Build ID: 20170418004027
Steps to reproduce:
I have more tabs open than I can fit on my screen. I entered the full domain of an open tab in the address bar.
Actual results:
Results from my browsing history showed up, "Switch to Tab" did not appear until I entered parts of the URL path.
Expected results:
"Switch to Tab" should appear above suggestions of the same domain.

The switch to tab entries have the same priority as the underlying url.
But you can type the special % char to limit awesomebar results to only switch to tab entries. For example "mozilla %" or "% mozilla" would do.
Assigning a frecency bonus to switch to tab would be a lot of work since the information is stored differently.
