Steps to reproduce:

Install the last version of Thunderbird (52.1.1) on a Debian Jessie 8.8.
Debian Stretch is not impacted by this bug.


Actual results:

Unable to see right expand arrows in all the menus.


Expected results:

Arrows in menus should be visible.

Opening thunderbird from the CLI show the following GTK warnings:
(thunderbird:2309): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_icon_theme_lookup_icon_for_scale: assertion 'scale >= 1' failed
(thunderbird:2309): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_ref: assertion 'object->ref_count > 0' failed
