Using apr 8-9 commercial trunk build

If you're working with the mail window message pane closed, when you've cleared
a search with selection, the folder view thread pane doesn't scroll to the
preserved selection. 

Steps:
1.  In main mail window close the message pane and open mail folder or newsgroup
with lots of messages.
2.  Look at the bottom of the thread pane list and make note of a message which
appears at or near the bottom of the list.
3.  Position the pane scrollbar slider back to the top of the thread pane.
4.  Enter text in the search bar which will match a message which had appeared
at or near the folder view thread pane list.
5.  Select that message in the search results.
6.  Clear the search results by deleting/backspacing the text in the search field.

Result:  You're returned to the folder view at top of the thread pane. Scrolling
reveals your selection is indeed preserved at the bottom of the thread pane.

Expected:  You're returned to folder view and thread pane scrolls to preserved
selection.
