User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:53.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/53.0
Build ID: 20170508114559
Steps to reproduce:
Double click on a date in the calendar view to create a new event. Add on is running in Thunderbird 52.1.1 (64-bit). Operating system details:
-Version-
Kernel : Linux 4.4.0-45-generic (x86_64)
Compiled : #66-Ubuntu SMP Wed Oct 19 14:12:37 UTC 2016
C Library : Unknown
Default C Compiler : GNU C Compiler version 5.4.0 20160609 (Ubuntu 5.4.0-6ubuntu1~16.04.4)
Distribution : Linux Mint 18.1 Serena
Desktop Environment : XFCE 4
Actual results:
Dialog showed four dates rather than two with bits of random text in unexpected places. I was able to enter dates in the two left hand boxes which seem to have been accepted by the calendar.
Expected results:
Something the same as or similar to previous versions.
All boxes work although I don't know what the right hand ones do.

Based on the screenshot you are seeing controls for both events and tasks at the same time. I assume this is caused by some 3rd party extension or theme that is not compatible with Lightning. Do you use 3rd party extensions or themes? Please retest with them disabled.

Went through add-ons. Guilty party was "Walnut for Thunderbird V 2.0.34". This was a "skin" listed under "Appearance" in the Add-ons I disabled this in preference for the default and the bug disappeared. I'll pass this back to the developers. Thanks for the suggestion.
