User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.110 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

Thunderbird 52.1.1 on Ubuntu.

"Show chat status" -> "New Account", and add a twitter account.

Workflow to connect the account commences.

Window opens to authorize Thunderbird Chat to connect to Twitter, prompts for twitter account name and password.

Enter password, click "Authorize app".

Twitter tells you they've updated their privacy policy, asks you to login again. But Thunderbird now doesn't accept keystrokes in the Password field: you can click it to give it focus, but nothing happens when you type.

Actual results:

Can't get a twitter oauth token, and can't connect the twitter account to Thunderbird.

Expected results:

Keystrokes should have been accepted by the Password: field in the second Twitter login form.

Sorry for taking so long to get to this. I just set-up a Twitter account a couple of days ago and it worked fine? Not sure what this would be from then.

Were you ever able to get Twitter to connect OK? Do you have any strange settings like disabled cookies?

seems the reporter bailed.
