DAM use is being halted. We need a location to host (and to link to) that assets that we currently look to there from *.mozilla.org Pmac put forth one possible solution as migrating those assets to a github repo (NOT bedrock) to then publish to an s3 bucket with Cloudfront We need an audit of what we link to now in the DAM, including different resolutions and file types, to see what we need to pull over (not do a wholesale migration of everything)

Any update on this? The new Nightly logo has to be uploaded to somewhere before updating the style guide on mozilla.org.

Yes. Work has happened over in https://github.com/mozmeao/infra/issues/271. I believe at least craigcook on the team has perms to upload to the new s3 bucket for this, and the new domain for assets is assets.mozilla.net. I've CC'd :criagcook in case he knows more.

Work has happened and continues to be in progress, but it keeps getting set aside for higher priorities. It's straightforward work, it's just tedious. I have to download the assets from the old DAM then upload them to the new host, then update the links with new URLs. I'm part way through the style guide and hope to get back to work on it some time this week. In the meantime we can at least update the Nightly section of the style guide separately without waiting to do the whole style guide. If you can send me the files I'll get them uploaded and you can do a PR to update the pages.

Update: Not only Nightly but also other channels will get new logos as of 57, so I won't get the assets prepared at this time.

At this point I wonder if it's better to just take the entire styleguide down. Large parts of it are already out of date and other parts will be out of date very soon. Any time spent maintaining the existing style guide would be better spent creating a new one.
