Build ID: 20170419083338
Steps to reproduce:
* write new message as plain text (in global config)
* enter some XML tags (in my case an XML tag from phpsysinfo XML output)
** e.g. <Hardware Name="LENOVO 20FMS50T14/20FMS50T14, BIOS R06ET46W (1.20 ) 11/15/2016">
* send mail
Actual results:
* XML tag is removed without any warning
Expected results:
leave message intact as typed and *not* remove anything in XML markup

In safe mode too?
What does "View Source" show?

Sorry, I have to correct myself: it's not always when composing a message.
It's limited to posting NNTP messages.
My only addon is Enigma; disabled it, makes no difference.

Your analysis steps are incomplete
So ... does it appear in View Source of the message in the Sent folder?

Wow, that was news to me. Thanks for this.
The message in the "Sent" folder is complete and it contains the XML tag.
<Hardware Name="LENOVO 20FMS50T14/20FMS50T14, BIOS R06ET46W (1.20 ) 11/15/2016">
So it's a problem in the NNTP server and not in TB, I suppose?
