Looks like one of the recent Nightly updates were broken enough so that my stored session went gone, including it's backup...  (Fortunately I'm backing them up every day manually!!!)

I unfortunately don't have any more data on this.  Haven't tried to look into the console either, so reporting more for record if either known or someone is willing to dig into this more than me.

Addons, in case any of them were involved:
Tree Style Tabs, Tab Groups, FireGestures.
