From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:0.9.9+) Gecko/20020408 BuildID: 2002040808 Codeweavers crossover plugin product ($25) allows windows plugins to be used on linux. It would be very nice if Mozilla included some of this functionality by default. The few linux plugins that are available are often poorly written and suported, and the ability to use windows plugins out-of-the-box would be a great advantage. Licencing issues alone makes this impossible; WINE is released under the "GNU Lesser General Public License". It took 10 years to get WINE to where it is today. For Mozilla.org to develope a separate Windows emulator would likely not take less, and in addition be lightyears beyond the scope of the project. To include an entire emulator in Mozilla in order to play a few plugins IMO wouldn't benefit the Mozilla project anyhow, and would only promote "second best" solutions. I'd rather see more native plugins for Linux. Recommend "WONTFIX" - allthough i believe this whole RFE qualifies as invalid.
based on comment #2, which I was unaware of the complexities mentioned, I am marking as wontfix
