Tested on:
Latest release build 54.0 (32 & 64 bytes) Windows 7x64 Build ID: 20170608105825
Nightly 56.0a1 Windows 7x64 Build ID: 20170615030208

I could not reproduce the issue, memory allowance being in the normal parameters when using Twitch Tv - video manager or browsing the site.

Paul, can you please explain the statement "FF increased using of memory to 2 GB"? Are you reffering that the firefox.exe process alone is using 2 GB of memory?
Have you tried to reproduce this issue using a new profile ?
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
Also could you also upgrade your Mozilla browser to the latest release build and check if the problem persists? Thank you.

I have tested with clear profile (just for tests). I just work with Twitch service, sometime managed my video, watched them, made highlights. For 42, alone process, for 55 total firefox.exe. 3-4 tabs.

I published a strings from web console specially that you can detect a reason of issue better. Because then I saw a problems with UI, not worked buttons "Delete". So, I sent additional report to Twitch support.
Can you provide a memory report from about:memory?
