Steps to reproduce:
In Thunderbird click on Events and Tasks > New Event shows blank dialog.
Expected results:
Under Tools > Options > Calender under Events and Tasks checked on Edit event and tasks in a new tab instead of dialog window. After that is is showing properly in the new tab

Did you try starting Thunderbird in safe mode?
Do you have Oracle Beehive addon installed?
If so your issue is bug 1355635

Yes I have Oracle Beehive addon installed!!
