It's broken in all PDF viewers that I tried, which include: PDF.js in Firefox, PDFium in Chrome, and notably also Adobe Reader.
The problem is that the PDF file *itself* doesn't contain the necessary font data for text-selection to work properly, hence I don't think there's anything we can do here unfortunately.
