This issue appears to only affect OpenSuSE (Mint, Fedora and Ubuntu are unaffected). We see the issue introduced twice in nightly builds: 1.) PASS: Linux OpenSuSE + Firefox Nightly 54.0a1 + file (2017-02-15-11-01-51-mozilla-central) FAIL: Linux OpenSuSE + Firefox Nightly 54.0a1 + file (2017-02-16-11-02-47-mozilla-central) 2.) PASS: Linux OpenSuSE + Firefox Nightly 54.0a1 + file (2017-02-22-16-02-05-date) FAIL: Linux OpenSuSE + Firefox Nightly 54.0a1 + file (2017-02-23-16-01-57-date)

Is this with a mozilla.org build of Firefox or an build from OpenSuSE?

I'm pretty sure they're mozilla.org builds. One of our localization testers found the bug. I pointed them to your nightly archive, which is where they found the builds that introduced the issue. I'm happy to double-check, but it will probably be tomorrow before I have an answer.

Almost certainly caused by forcing Flash-Linux to be windowless, bug 1337781. I bet this issue predates the 15-Feb nightly for wmode="opaque" Flash elements. I'll add this to our backlog, but I'll admit this is probably never going to be high on our list of bugs to tackle.
