Details

A tab crashed, bringing down the content tabs. I was offered the choice to "Restore this tab", "Restore all tabs", etc. Clicking either of them resulted in a crash or failure to progress.

Clicking a button to get no progress is very frustrating, Firefox should in some way track that it has shown me this screen twice without actually loading content again, and perhaps offer to reload the browser and restore the session since its quite hosed.

Hopefully it is actually possible to determine when the browser is in this state, as I could imagine if its really hosed then it may not be able to remember that it already failed to make forward progress upon requesting to reload the tabs.

Unfortunately I have no reliable way to reproduce this bug, the link I clicked to trigger it has refused to trigger the crash again since then.

The last needinfo from me was triggered in error by recent activity on the bug. I'm clearing the needinfo since this is a very old bug and I don't know if it's still relevant.

Crashing tabs have not reproduced this error on recent builds, it instead offers the ability to restart nightly. Closing this as it seems to have been fixed.
